Just a heads up folks, as of May 1, Blogger will no longer support FTP publishing. I am about to attempt this crazy-migration-tool-thingie and see what happens. Cross your fingers... it looks like a bumpy ride ahead...
Along with the Stumpy Henchman #21 plushies, I made some Severed-hand Keychains and Tempura Shrimp Keychain Bento Boxes for the ComicCon! I currently don't have anymore available, but will be making more soon for my Etsy.
WOW. I had an amazing weekend at the Con! We saw so many old friends and made a few new ones! It was exhausting, but I definitely want to have a table again next year. Here are a few shots of my fellow artist friends (we got to all sit together, which was cool.) Suzanne and me! (lady, I'll put your link when it's 'ready') Edward! Kristen and Memah Augie! EGO! Lawrence! Kikuta! Stumpy Henchman has a new home! (Thank you Josh!)
Thank you Larry-awrence for giving StumpyH#2 a home too!
Accident-prone, manx kitty has a new home! Thank you Sarah!
EMERALD CITY COMICCON March 13-14th Washington Convention Center sat: 10am-6pm sun: 10am-5pm
...still trying to get ready for this year's con! I will be in the artist alley (C-15) sharing a table with my bud, Suzanne. Stop by if you can make it out!
Here is my peice for the Henchmen & Sidekicksshow at Flatcolor Gallerythis month. It's Gary, a.k.a. Henchman #21 from The Venture Bros.! I wanted him to look like a Butterfly specimen / dissected frog, thus the guts and shadowbox. He is made of basswood and painted with Acryla-Gouche and Cel-paints.
I can't say enough about brand spankin' new X-acto blades. The first few cuts are the just... the best. I went through 3 blades on this tiny piece.
Here is Dev's piece, Mxyxptlk and Batmite! I love the expressions in all of Dev's characters... ;-)
Hey folks! Head on down to Flatcolor Gallery this thursday for Augie Pagan's show!Augie will be showcasing his amazing paintings alongside fellow artist Dave MacDowell.
Flatcolor Gallery March 4th 2010 5 - 9 pm 528 1st Ave S Seattle, WA 98104 (wed-sun 12-6pm)
Also, Dev and I were invited to participate in a mini-group exhibition in the upper loft of the gallery called "Henchmen and Sidekicks" - Please come check that out as well! They're also hosting a special reception during the Emerald City Comic Con weekend, March 13-14.
Thank you to all of my friends and family for coming out to the show last night! There were some really nice pieces in the show - the other 6 artists live out of state - unfortunately, I wish I could've met them. If you get a chance to check out the show, it will be up for the month of February.

I've never been one to play Scrabble, but Dev recently got me hooked on the "Words with Friends" app! But, what drives me bonkers is always seem to get stuck with the letter "Q" without any good tiles to work with... I'm left with the only option to slide that dang Q next to an "I" for "Qi". Meh. I've got to learn to ditch the "Q" earlier in the game. ;-)
I'm am a maker of 'things and stuff'. My some-of-a-kind artworks of Stumpytown were developed from the memories of childhood and the traits of friends and loved ones. I love the color purple and hate getting out of bed.
